Founder Andrew Archibald has been providing services to vacation rental properties on the Outer Banks for over a decade. Excellent service begins and ends with experienced and friendly professionals, which is why we put so much consideration into selecting only the best to join our team. We complete cleanings efficiently and on schedule, and go above and beyond to form lasting relationships with our clients.

Kitchen
Rinse all dirty dishes and place in the dishwasher and begin the wash cycle
Clean out inside of the oven, microwave, and fridge
Wipe clean all the kitchen appliances
Sweep, vacuum, swiffer, or mop the floor accordingly
Put out dishtowel
Check to make sure all stored pots, pans, silverware, tupperware, and dishes are clean and properly organized
Remove all old ice and debris from the freezer and set ice maker
Sanitize all countertops
Remove any and all chemical hazards
Bathrooms
Remove any items found in the shower, bathtub, sink, cabinets, and shelves
Sanitize all surfaces with multi-surface cleaner
Disinfect and clean the toilet from top to bottom targetting problem areas such as behind the lid and around the toilet base
Clean shower walls and tub, shine shower head and handles
Clean sink and mirrors, and shine faucets
Sweep and mop or swiffer bathroom floors

Bedrooms
Remove all old linens and replace with fresh, new linens
Make the beds and neatly arrange pillows
Organize room decor that may have been moved by guests
Dust all furniture and fans
Check for cleanliness of comforters and mattress covers
Check closets, under beds, and in drawers for items left behind
Sweep, Vacuum, or swiffer mop the floor
Place fresh, clean towels on beds
Replace any dirty comforters with a loaner
Common Area
Disinfect all surfaces
Clean all glass tables and sliding glass doors with glass cleaner
Remove dust from all decorations, paintings, and tv screen
Brush off couch cushions and remove debris from cracks
Organize any pillows, decorations, books, and magazines
Sweep and vacuum floors
The presentation should create a general feeling of cleanliness and welcome​ for the guests
Rec Room
Check mini fridge, remove any left items, and clean
Organize and put away games
Brush off the pool table
Clean any other miscellaneous items
Sweep and Vacuum all floors.
Laundry Room
Clean any old detergent or other debris from washer and dryer
Remove any chemical hazards
Check for personal items
Sweep out and mop floors
Remove lint from the dryer vent, disposing of it properly
Miscellaneous
Organize all deck furniture and sweep the floor
Shake out the welcome mat
Remove sand and personal items from the outdoor shower
Make doorway and carport presentable
Final Check
All areas clean
No dishes left out
Stovetop and Oven are off
Trash emptied, and trash can liners replaced
AC is set to correct temperature
Make sure trash cans are taken to the street or brought in if empty.
Lights are turned off
Report any light bulbs or broken appliances to management and inspector
Proper towels and linens are in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen
Report any light bulbs that need replacing or broken appliances
Doors in bedrooms and bathrooms left open for visual appeal
Decorative shower curtains visible
Blinds slanted and curtains open to allow for natural light

Spring kicks off the vacation season. It's essential that you do a little deep cleaning and preventive maintenance above and beyond the routine tasks performed by your housekeepers between renters. Spring cleaning prepares rental houses before the busy summer months.

Inspectors
Our inspectors go above and beyond the typical call of duty for our clients. We place great emphasis on timeliness and efficiency in our company. Every one of Quality Cottage Care's inspectors is trained to do not only a visual inspection of the entire house but also a tactile inspection of all surfaces making sure all unseen dirt and grime have been removed. Our inspectors clean anything that needs extra attention, while they are still on the premises.

Outstanding Quality
On the rare occasion that there is a guest complaint, Quality Cottage care guarantees 90 min response time to the cottage Monday though Friday 7 am - 7 pm. We will send an inspector and cleaning team out to the cottage to assess anything left out during the ordinary cleaning process.
